Looks like Origins had a surge of new attendees this year, up, by their own claims by 23%. That's very good news. The game fair had been slowing in recent years, but seemed to be hanging on. This uptick is welcome. Its probably due to Paizo returning to the show and doing an all or out for their games. C&C had a tiny presence in one booth. We'll look to expand next year.
It seems to be the trend, lots of cons are showing signs of strength, little ones popping up all over the place. We watched this before in the early-mid 2000s I believe, driven by the d20 explosion. My best guess is that 5e has revitalized the RPG market.
