I can look at pictures of space forever.
It seems so peaceful up there.
Well, except for supernovas - at 30 a second thats a lot of destruction.

"what is it about space"?
Dark matter, singularities, novas, nebulas and more - they are all Awesome in the true & literal sense of the word.
I missed a chance to see Dr. Neil deGrasse Tyson last month because I did not expect tickets to sell out.
I was both happy and sad that they did...
I still watch Carl Sagan's "Cosmos: A Personal Voyage" on NF most of the time when I want "background noise".
In fact Dr. Tyson, Seth MacFarlane & Ann Druyan (Dr. Sagan's widow) are work on a reboot of Cosmos "slated to air on Fox in 2013". Dr. Tyson will host it in place of Dr. Sagan, who influenced him a great deal.
Big fans of Cosmos. That was a great show, glad to hear they are doing a reboot. And Tyson is the perfect candidate for the job he has that same perspective that Sagan did.
But now, you've got me listening to Cosmos theme.
