I can look at pictures of space forever.
It seems so peaceful up there.

"what is it about space"?
Dark matter, singularities, novas, nebulas and more - they are all Awesome in the true & literal sense of the word.
I missed a chance to see Dr. Neil deGrasse Tyson last month because I did not expect tickets to sell out.
I was both happy and sad that they did...
I still watch Carl Sagan's "Cosmos: A Personal Voyage" on NF most of the time when I want "background noise".
In fact Dr. Tyson, Seth MacFarlane & Ann Druyan (Dr. Sagan's widow) are work on a reboot of Cosmos "slated to air on Fox in 2013". Dr. Tyson will host it in place of Dr. Sagan, who influenced him a great deal.
Big fans of Cosmos. That was a great show, glad to hear they are doing a reboot. And Tyson is the perfect candidate for the job he has that same perspective that Sagan did.
But now, you've got me listening to Cosmos theme.
Ah, yes. Vangelis' New Age stuff.
