Word of the Day -- Cleric

Today's word of the day is appropriate, I think, because our special for today for the Christmas sale came from the Lords of Winter, the Cleric.  Be sure to check out the hyperlinked areas to find your savings.  So you might be interested in finding out a little more about the word.

Cleric is defined as: A member of the clergy.  It originally comes from the word "lot" meaning allotment and comes from the Greek word kieros.  All religions seem to have some form of clergy, or religious leader and most of them use the word cleric (in their native languages of course) to demarcate their leaders.

Of course, clerics are not limited to the real world, as we well know there are clerics in our RPG games and serve many more functions than perhaps a human cleric would.  So the next time you are playing a role, think about a cleric. Or at least now you know a little more about the word.  Check back tomorrow for the next special of the day and for your installment of the word of the day.
