Only One More Death Merchant

It seems Kevin Smith is throwing in the movie towel. He's announced he'll only do one more feature film and is waiting only to sign Jeff Anderson (Randal) to announce Clerks III. This is too bad. Smith has done some really fine pieces of hobby-genre film work from Mall Rats to Chasing Amy. Its nice to see our little corner of the world wrapped up on the big screen with a little humor but a lot of respect.

But as the man said, there's many a slip between a cup and a lip and who knows what Smith may or may not do in the future.

Kevin Smith bows out.

It's a shame he never got 'Hit Somebody' off the ground, but when the guy he wanted to star in it did a hockey movie for someone else, it did kinda kick that plan in the balls.

After Red State, I was always hoping for another brave choice for his final film. At least we can still check him out through his multitude of podcasts...

Yeah, the article indicated he might still do Hit Somebody, but as a longer piece . . . not sure if that was tongue in cheek or not however. I enjoy his comic book show but its nothing near as entertaining as his movies. Need to check out the podcast...
