Final Voyage

This is the final voyage for the Space Shuttle Endeavor. She is seen below mounted on a flat bed and headed to the California Space Center in Los Angeles.

Endeavor was built in 1987 as a replacement for the Challenger air craft, that blew up in 1986, and was named after the British Captain Jame Cook, HMS Endeavor. She took 25 flights into space; she was instrumental in the construction of the international space station, took the first African American into space, launched the first 3-man EVA, amongst many retrievals, telescope repairs and other sundry missions.

She lost two sisters to the dangers of crossing into the Darkling skies, the Challenger in 1986 and Columbia in 2003 with all crews.

We tip our hat!
