Viking Kings

Segfred was a Danish King who lorded over the lands of southern Denmark. We know next to nothing of the King other than the rebel lord Widukind fled there in 777 and 782, seeking shelter from the Franks. He remained long enough to rebuild his power which serves as a testament to the power of Segred, at the very least he could not be cowed into giving up the rebel.

Segred passes out of history at this point, traveling no doubt, to Valhalla where even now he sits in a hauberk of chain with a great axe leaning against his table, and helm on the board, honing his drinking and battle skills, waiting for Ragnarok.
