Haunting the Titantic

The Titanic conjures for us a story both tragic and mysterious. The world was a different place in 1911 and those who peopled it are almost unrecognizable to us; their actions and deeds seem to be those of fictional characters. Its a world that is extinguished in the battle fields of Western and Eastern Europe in the trenches of France, Germany, Poland, Austria-Hungary, Russia and a host of other countries.

But the Titanic went down with these people on it, before the numbing fear of modernity overwhelmed them and us, and their actions and deeds typify that ethereal world. Its a world where civilization contained the primeval forces of our ancestry, where men stood without fear.

As the ship went down, the survivors crowded on the life rafts and watched and listened. One one such raft a young girl kept her toy, musical pig. And she wound it up and played it over and over again. Here it is again.

Hey, you could have a pulp action adventure centered around that musical pig being stolen by some cultist that know that music is the key to a mystical lock. The heroes find out that this little girl's toy has been stolen and swear to get it back!
