I've never been a huge Sherlock fan, though I love the stories, but this actually sounds quite interesting. Its always interesting to wonder these characters might have ended up.

Gandalf to Holmes
Ian McKellen is taking up the role of Sherlock Holmes in a move called "A Slight Trick of the Mind." In the flick Ian plays a retired Sherlock Holmes who revisits an unsolved case that has haunted him for years. Shooting begins in April 2014.
