The Road to Mt. Sharp

A week ago Curiosity achieved a milestone, advancing some 434 feet in a single day. The pre-planned route put the rover that much closer to his next way point, a small circular ring of rocks. Its suspected to be a miniature stone henge and proof of advanced life on Mars…

er, wait, no its now. Actually the point of interest is just before the Martian Stone Henge, the light colored streaks of stone just before the circle (you can see in the picture below).

He'll spend some few days studying that point before embarking once again toward Mount Sharp.
