There is a story I learned in Anthropology - not sure if it's true, but it's interesting. Archaeologists were finding lots of baboon skulls with weirdly circular holes right in the forehead. They didn't know WTF to think, until somebody realized that the knob on the end of an antelope femur fits really nicely in the round hole.

Human being, busting heads and taking names since before the stone age!
