The Simpsons on FXX

Good sweet lord, with 552 episodes and one movie under its belt, the Simpsons is the longest running scripted television show. Its move to FXX is big news for FXX and they are announcing it with style.

On August 21 begins the longest running TV marathon as they set out to air all 552 episodes in chronological order. The move will be jammed in there as well. The marathon begins at 10 A.M. ET.  It will not include the bits from the Tracey Ulman show, where the five knuckle heads got television their start.

FXX paid somewhere around a billion dollars for the series.
