Turkish archeologists have unearthed a 5000 year old burial pit. To put that into context, it was a long time ago.
In the pit they found a trove of gaming tokens, including what is patently a four sided dice and some miniatures, boars and wolves by the look of it. Turns out the ancient Mesopotamians enjoyed a board gaming culture as such artifacts have been found or reported before. This represents the oldest and most complete collection. The tokens were found with a collection of flat wooden sticks.
Probably some youngster's game that he took to the grave with him. Read on.
