The Jetsons! Finally

Terrafugia, a company long devoted to creating personal flying vehicles has unveiled their latest, the TF-X! This small car/plane combines a little helicopter, with some plane, with some jet, with some car and takes you off and a journey the Jetsons would be proud of.

When I first saw this design, I thought, that is one ugly fish-like craft, but watching it take off is just pure cool. With a range of 500 miles and a payload of up to 4 people it will be a pretty convenient craft. They plan to deploy them, or offer them to the general public rather, in about 8-12 years.
