For those who follow the Dens regularly you've probably read about the D&D movie that Warner Bros. announced was in production. This came about two weeks ago, with the studio bringing on board the talent of the Wrath of the Titans screenwriter. Wizards of the Coast contested that announcement last week, remarking the movie license had reverted to WoTC.
Today WoTC sued Sweetpea the production company that has long had the rights to D&D movies. Filings today noted that Sweetpea has not held up the time clause of the contract and has not made enough D&D movies. Sweetpea countered with the TV movies they made earlier this decade as covering the time clause.
The D&D name might be the most litigious brand name of all time.
