Finally! Cooking Star Trek Style

It looks NASA has decided to take another page out of the Star Trek book. You've all seen it, an ensign in the mess hall walks up to the wall, orders his food, there's a wooshing sound, a door opens, and bam!  He has dinner . . . though they always do seem to know what they want to eat, I would think with almost an infinite number of choices you might be a little indecisive.

But NASA is on board. The are attempting to adapt the 3D printer technology to making food for the astronauts.

They are calling it the universal food synthesizer.  Read more about it here.
