1300 bodies were unearthed in a cemetery near Cambridge. Mostly males, these people were very poor with not even a shroud to bury them in. They were laid in the cold, cold ground to feed the worms.
Across the way was St. John the Evangelist College and Hospital. The cemetery was built to house, according to the hospital, "poor scholars and other wretched persons."
