Ladee Airborn

The Lunar missions launched from Virginia is in route to the moon, scheduled to arrive in about 30 days plus or minus. Some minor snafu with the stabilization wheels occurred after take off buts its been corrected.

Ladee is off to explore the moon's atmosphere, in hopes that we can get a better understanding of conditions in and around it so that when we begin pebble hopping across the Solar System, we'll have some first hand experience.

I watched this from my front yard about 50 miles away. When the rocket took off, the whole sky lit up like a giant fireball. We were actually able to follow it in the sky well past the second stage detaching. It was awe inspiring to say the least.
