Littering Mars

So in my excitement over the Mars landing I explained the flight and landing in intimate detail to my wife. The pod, the separation, the chute, the jets to stabilize, tethers, etc etc. Her response was. "So we're now littering other planets as well."

Well NASA just released this photo. Its not litter, its science!
