Curious about Curiosity

Curiosity is roving across Mars, she's taken her first chem test on a small rock. At the moment she is exploring a small section of Gale Crater where she landed (pictured below), the Glenelg. Here three different types of terrain come together. She'll quit that after awhile and head to Mount Sharp and several buttes, where she'll study the geologic history of the region.

This is the crater where she landed. There is supposed to be a green dot in it showing where she is, but I can't find it.

This picture makes me think how lonely Curiosity's world is. From the hustle and bustle of the Jet Propulsion Laboratory to the blasted planes of Mars.

I'm thinking that that is Mount Sharp in the background.
