While splunking cavers in Israel discovered a small treasure horde, It consisted of several coins, ear rings and other bits and pieces. The treasure seemed to have been purposely placed to hide it from prying eyes (as opposed to being dropped or lost). The antiquities folks were called in and dated the find to the sometime after the reign of Alexander the Great, that's about 2300 years ago.
But no monster to guard it? Where's the fun in that?
Treasure trove.
