We all know that Bladerunner is going to get a sequel. Harrison Ford is on board to reprise the role of Deckard, the bounty hunter. Not much news on what the story is about, other than Deckard has to deal with the fact that he is a replicant, and that Ridley Scott won't be directing the movie. That has been turned over to Denis Villenueve whose done such films as the soon to be released Sicario.
Not sure how to take this. Scott is staying on as producer which is good for hands on and has final say on cuts, but there is something about his films that go beyond the norm. That said Villeneuve may be just the right guy to take up the job.
We won't know until the film rolls, but we can still look forward to it.
