Eyes

Bionic eyes are all over the news these days and its pretty damn amazing. Several successful operations have already taken place, allowing blind people to see.  It works something like this: a plate with multiple electrodes is placed upon the eye and connected wirelessly with a pair of glasses that have a camera. The camera sends visual images to the plate, they pass into the eye and through the optic nerve.

It sounds simple enough but is an astounding feat of science and medicine. The amount of work that must have gone into this device is mind boggling, but the results are worth it.

In the end its going to allow someone to say one of the coolest things every uttered in the movies. Take it away Roy...
