I enjoyed his first film, Garden State, it was good if a bit angst ridden. But last year Zach launched a Kickstarter to do a follow up without studio control. He raised some 1.2 million or some such (I can't really remember), to do the project how he wanted to do it.
Here's the trailer, and though it clearly is a feel good pic, it looks quiet well written and done.
