Doctors In the Dark

As is usual with most things we are taught about early man, our understanding of the medieval period changes yet again. Apparently they weren't as ignorant as we thought and studied human anatomy even as we do now. A specimen, highlighted over at Live Science, shows all the signs of preservation and experimentation that  you would see from a more modern era.

Between their fine art in miniatures, the foods, architecture . . .  and their ability to ride horse and wear bad ass suits of armor, I'm beginning to think they were more advanced than ever we though.
