Its Almost Time for . . .

The Busho Carnival! In Mohacs Hungary every year they celebrate the end of winter by dressing like sheep and donning wooden masks of frightful demons! The men cross the river Danube in wooden boats carrying all manner of devices and enter the village of Mohacs. Legends report that when the Turks conquered the area that the people of Mohacs fled across the river into the swamps, instigated into creating wild costumes by one of their elders (or perhaps a knight) they waited until a stormy night and crossed back over. Their wild, outlandish garb, demon faces, strange weapons coupled with the storm struck terror into the Turks who fled the village.

Trollzah!
