This was one of my favorites as well! I used to make space ships out of erasers, rubber bands, pencils, paperclips, and other school supplies to recreate some of the space battles from this show.
I even named my son after the name of the battle ship in the series: http://youtu.be/LKe0wARmks4

Haha That sounds awesome. I used my hands mostly...flying around making explosions. Ahhh the good old days. Its nice to hear my own youngsters doing the same...though not to Starblazers.
Speaking of which wasn't there a movie somewhere? live action. I'll need to track that down.
