They came within a few years of the forecast. In my estimation that's not bad at all. But it would be cool if they could refine it to a few minutes and find all the potential volcanoes and then do some work on earthquakes.
And by the by and speaking of earthquakes, did you know some Italian scientists were indicted for NOT predicting an earthquake in 2009 that killed 309 people. Think that might have ripple effects in the scientific community's desire to even comment on potential earthquakes and eruptions. The trial begins next month.
I think maybe the scientists should sue the public for choosing to live in an earthquake prone area, not having earthquake resistant houses and ignoring even minor warnings by not moving at least 1000 miles away for the duration of time in which an earthquake might possibly even have a small chance of occurring. But that's me!
