As those who follow the Aihrde mythologies I've created they know the Eldritch Goblins are a huge part of the mythos, being those creatures that drove the Goblin-Dwarf Wars that ended that Rin of the World.
There are many influences on my early creation myths, but the one that stands out that really got many conceptualizing goblins a little differently was the rather comical view of the creatures by Brian Fround.
Here is the most influential piece from his book called, Goblins.
I love that image. The creature stands out. But each of the goblins were made differently than the last, so that by the end of the book you have an idea of individuals and not cookie cutter monsters.
