Aerofex has developed a hover craft, or so it would seem. I can't quite decide if this article is real, as there are precious few details on the craft...how fast can it move, how high does it fly, what kind of payload does it carry, does it have a cup holder for my Dr. Pepper and will that cup holder keep my Dr. Pepper cold and other such sundry details. It doesn't help when you click the video link and the top video on that page's scroll bar is a link to a curiosity found a dinosaur footprint on mars video.
Hover craft.
But regardless it seems cool enough in the picture.
Post script: I have to say the submersible in yesterday's post seems much more comfortable than this dude standing there with his knees gripping the seat, hunched over and perched on the top.

Daily Cosplay
I looked at this picture and thought to myself, "I don't even know what to say." Then I saw the badge was for Dragon Con and thought, "Ahh, it makes sense now."
Apocolypse Not
I do NOT like this article. Do NOT read it and believe it. If you read this article you might doubt the coming apocalypse...an event I've been counting on to finally let me square up with Blockbuster video and those damn late fees!
Apocalypse Soon to be Maybe Not at All Now.
The only apocalypse we need fear facing is the gutopoylspe!
Post Script: Seems I remember an interview with a statistician about the world's population decline. Something the article doesn't address. He projected a decline in population figures in the next couple hundred years as more families have less than 2 children or some such crazy stuff.

The Brain is Bad Ass
Once again the brain proves its a rocking organ. Apparently all that slush that gathers in your head...probably most of it gleaned from meme's on the internet...is washed out of the brain by cerebrospinal fluid. Its a rather small sewer system, cleaning out proteins and the like that build up in your head.

Curious about Curiosity
Curiosity is roving across Mars, she's taken her first chem test on a small rock. At the moment she is exploring a small section of Gale Crater where she landed (pictured below), the Glenelg. Here three different types of terrain come together. She'll quit that after awhile and head to Mount Sharp and several buttes, where she'll study the geologic history of the region.
This is the crater where she landed. There is supposed to be a green dot in it showing where she is, but I can't find it.
This picture makes me think how lonely Curiosity's world is. From the hustle and bustle of the Jet Propulsion Laboratory to the blasted planes of Mars.
I'm thinking that that is Mount Sharp in the background.

Troll Trip!
So as many of you may or may not realize The Troll Lords headed off to Gencon last week. It was a great show and very busy. We alternately tried to do blog posts from the floor of the convention, but only managed to get it up and running on Friday. We managed some, but failed on Saturday and Sunday as we are want to do. Lots of visiting and having a good time for sure.
We'll do a picture dump later and give some commentary, but for now we'll shift back to our regularly scheduled programming!
