5000 Year Old Throne

Archeologists have uncovered a "possible" throne some 5000 years old in Turkey.

"Discovered in Aslantepe in the eastern Turkish province of Malatya, the structure consists of an adobe platform, raised by three steps above the floor, on top of which burnt wooden pieces were found." Rossella Lorenzi

It is one of the earliest signs of organized state power...assuming its a throne. That's fairly interesting in and of itself, but it makes one think. Somewhere in our past, someone had to say to his friends, family and associates..."people I shall need a chair. and the chair shall be bigger than your chairs. and the chair shall be higher than you chairs!"

I wonder what his people thought? "What's George on about now? He wants a big chair? Whose he think he is? King?" (I slipped right into monty python there).
