We Don't Have To Worry

Astronomers watching a nearby star were stunned to see a flare rip out from the red dwarf star. The amazing thing was that the flate was 1000 times larger (I might be off on that) than anything we've seen on our own sun. It was massive!

Cool video below, but I like the comment the one astronomer made about 'we don't have to worry' because it is a very young star and out own is not, so it is not susceptible to it.

That might be true but we don't have to worry about it because there is absolutely nothing on, under or above the earth we can do to protect ourselves against such an explosion. :)
