Rosetta's on the Stone

Well the ice block rather. On Wednesday the ESA's Rosetta spacecraft is scheduled to slip into orbit around a comet. The comet, 67p/Churyumov-Gerasimenko, is some 4 billion miles from here and the probe has been on its journey for about 10 years.

Rosetta is carrying a small landing craft that she'll deploy to land on the comet after she has slipped into a stable orbit. None of this can be easy as the comet is speeding through the Darkling Skies at a very rapid pace and turning and tumbling all the while.
