Godzilla's Roar

The King of All Monsters, Godzilla (as if you didn't know that) has a very distinctive roar. It carries in every film and has spilled over into other films as well. Its just plain bad ass. If you haven't heard it, you should. Its cool.

But how was it created?

It was created by composer Akira Ifukube, who produced the sound by rubbing a resin coated glove along the string of a contrabass and then slowing down the playback.

That makes it all the more bad ass!
