Lake Retba lies in Senegal is a salt water lake. It has so much salt in it that it sustains a small salt harvesting industry. The lake is also home to an small algae called dunaliella salina; this little guy lives in water that has high salt contents. But old Dun Sal tends to cause a discoloration in the water.
