Europa's Geysers Die

Back in 2012 some shots of Jupiter's moon, Europa were taken. Later, under close analysis it was determined that they revealed gigantic geysers erupting from the moon's surface, sometimes reaching 125 miles high (that's pretty high by the way). It was largely water vapor.

But now the plumes/geysers are gone.

It could be any number of things from the what going on in Jupiter's atmosphere has changed enough to prevent us from seeing them to the data was misinterpreted and the geysers never really existed.

I think it points out one huge thing. We just don't know nearly as much as we think we do and observations from hundreds of thousands of miles away, looking at pictures and video, just isn't enough. Its time for some deep space manned craft to begin exploring (and colonizing) our Solar System.
