More evidence of ocean crossing paleoindians piles up off the coast of Santa Barbara. Sites found on islands some 60 odd miles off coast show evidence of occupation up to and over 11000 years ago. That places them there just at the tail end of the last Ice Age. Its possible they island hopped across the ocean, but more likely they traveled along the coast, moving north to the Bering Sea and the south along the coast of the North American continent.
Either way, they made it!
