Roads to Stone

For quite some time it has been theorized that a road existed from Stone Henge to the Avon River.  The idea being it was either a holy road, a sacrificial road or even the road from which they drug up the large stones that make up the massive temple/meeting/we're aren't really sure what it was complex.

Several ditches running beneath the highway that connects Stone Henge with the modern world are thought to belong to this very road.

It seem hard to believe there would still be trace evidence of this road, however if it was used constantly, as it probably was, and if it was used up until the early Christian era, which it probably was, then there may very well be trace evidence still existing.

All quite cool.
