Setting aside the Trojans

We have it on good authority that Choldio, a Frank who ruled counties in the lands of Thuringia, took a young and very beautiful wife. Soon thereafter, while swimming she encountered a Quinotaur, a great marine beast, shaped much like a man and fish, with three great horns, like a crown upon his brow. Some speculated that this was Neptune, but more like than not it was Yngvi, a patron of the Franks. Yngiv seduced the young woman and from this encounter Merovech was born. He who was father of Childeric who fathered Clovis who conquered Gaul and fathered the dynasty of the Long Haired Kings.

I'm not sure how to credit this bad ass picture but here it is: Yngvi.
