Philae has Landed

Yesterday we talked about the ESA's space craft Rosetta and her lander, Philae. The lander was scheduled to land upon a comet yesterday afternoon and to everyone's joy, she successfully did so.

Here's Philae's last picture of the mother ship (its not a video).


Here is a picture of what the lander saw just before it touched down.


But we have now sent a probe to a comet. Now the ESA will begin data mining and we've set up some pretty cool time capsule for archeologists to find in 500 years.
