Rusback Bogs

"This flat, lowland lies beyond the Irvun Wood, nestled at the feet of the Grundliche Mountains. The bogs are open country, soaked in continual rain and mist, but the soil is too acidic to support anything but short flowered mosses, which, when they die, settle into the ground and rot creating a vast bog. In Spring and Summer the moss is so thick it is hard to tell your in the wetland until its too late. In the fall it dies back, revealing a horrid wasteland of blackening dead moss, large pools of brackish water, small ponds and rivulets snaking between the lot of them.

The Rusback is home to a number of creatures, both fell and foul, but draws many wild beasts as well. Caribou dwell here in abundance as do beavers and bear. There is little here to attract men aside from hunting and the wilderness, but it is a favored home for hermits who serve the Red God."
