Life Finds a Way

Scientists took off in a jet plane and scoured the clouds to see what they could see. Expecting a few organisms here and there, they were stunned to discover countless billions. In the small sample they took they found it to 20% bacteria, the rest dust and cat dandruff.

That's a pretty big chunk. They found some old enemies up there, ecoli, the great equalizer and other odds and ends. It seems these little guys thrive in the frigid cold, UV battered, largely oxygen-less habitat. Read more here.

Now they are worried about plague raining down on us.
