Headless Bodies & Magic Wands

It seems researches have unearthed a wand of wonder . . . as a CK and player I hate that magic item, its almost as annoying as the deck of many catastrophes . . . while unearthing a burial site 9000 years old. The site contained the headless bodies of 20 people, their heads conveniently stacked elsewhere, but it also contained a wand with the likeness of a face carved on both sides. It was discovered in southern Syria in 2007.

The wand is suspected to be part of a funerary ritual. It is the oldest realistic representation of the human face found in that area and probably represents a shift in early man's thinking, from the dark primeval to the mundane.
