Ben To Bat

They've cast the new batman and it is Ben.

I'm not sure how to take this. His movie The Town is a fantastic film and put Ben up at the head of the list and he's done some great roles besides. His ability to make fun of himself is something I can appreciate (aka Jay and Silent Bob Fight Back). But his taking up the title role in the capped Crusader . . . not sure.

Of course I've become rather indifferent to Batman as they have cast him not as the Dark Knight, but as the Dark Introspective Philosopher King who understands the darkness in the world . . . when the world isn't dark, there is literally a cardinal sitting outside my window singing as I write this . . . and made him to unreachable.

So perhaps, Ben's portrayal of the Dark Knight will recast him as what he is, a superhero, a champion of justice who plays upon a criminals fear of the dark to unnerve so that he can take them down all the while enjoying a little fun at home.

Cast alongside Superman, we'll see  . . .
