Its not often you get to read about actually happening. While flying between Massachusetts and South Carolina back in 1959 Air Force Pilot LTC William Rankin ran dead into a storm. His engine suffered failure and the plane stalled and began to free fall. He ejected into the broiling mass of the storm, plummeting through the maelstrom of the gods. He was so high in the air that his eyes and ears bled, the water from the storm so thick it flooded his mouth and throat threatening to drown him, the charged bolts of lightening seared the air around him and the thunder was do loud in knocked the wind from him. The wind battered him left and right and a chance bolt of rage ripped open and burned his parachute increasing his rate of descent.
On through the tumult he fell/floated until a yearning forest broke his fall. Battered, torn, bleeding and bruised he staggered out of the forest. Using survival skills he managed to break free to a road where he was later picked up.
This man lived the Wrath of the Gods!
