The Last Watch

The fire has dwindled to embers as the sun creeps over the horizon. Your comrades rest quietly; warm, wrapped in their thick, wool blankets, and dry as they sleep, laying on oil cloths. Sundry gear lays about the camp. Rising you stretch the cold out of your tired muscles and watch the yellow gold curtain rise, burning off the morning mist. The wilderness unfolds before you . . . and the hunt continues.
