The Tricorder

Bones would be very happy. Scanadu, a company based in silicon valley, is releasing a tricorder, called the Scout, in 2013. The Scout actually scans your body and conveys its medical diagnosis to your smart phone. It is designed to be used by the consumer . . . not by Bones . . . so Bones would probably not be happy.

From the Economist magazine.
