Fortifying the Hill

They set the castle upon the hill and fortified it with high walls and towers. Many barbicans were set upon the singular path that led to the berg, and these were made such that one could defend the other. The castle was thought impregnable, and for that reason, they set the store of their treasures within it.  ~ The World of Aihrde
