Dinosaur - Ikrandraco Avatar

The name comes from the movie, but the dinosaur found in the hills of China, where a warm, fresh-water lake once stood, has little to do with an avatar. About 5 or so feet long, it had flight and possibly a jaw pouch not unlike a pelican's. The beast probably hunted the surface of the lake, scooping up fish in its jaw, holding them in the pouch and devouring them later. That probably means the fish were smaller.

More details at LiveScience.

In any case the new dinosaur was named after the Ikrane from the movie Avatar, the flying dragons they used as mounts.

But in any case these cool looking beasts lived out their lives with no observation, passing through history like so many others, unobserved and unknown.
