These Need to be Larger

Bats are just cool. There needs to be some kind of creature that rides giant bats. Riding these creatures into battle hurling javelins upon their prey.

I did a short behavioral study of vampire bats way back in in college. What drew me to them was they looked dragon-like when walking on the ground. (IIRC, vampire bats are one of the few with bones strong enough to support their weight on the ground.)

I had no idea! I rescued one bat from the print shop and brought it outside and let it go. It lay on the ground forever until I left. When I went back to check on it it was gone, either killed by a raccoon or a cat, or it flew off. I had no idea it couldn't walk.
